Printmaker & Curator
I am a printmaker from Auckland, with a background in environmental science and art history. Environmental concerns and connections to landscape form the core of my practice. My work is informed by ideas around altered landscapes and environmental change, and the physical ways of experiencing places.
I have a PhD in Art History, with a thesis about colonial landscapes and travel, and an interest in historical landscapes still informs my art research. I have been a finalist in national art awards and selected exhibitions, including the New Zealand Painting and Printmaking Awards and the Estuary Art and Ecology Prize, and my artwork has been included in several international exhibitions and projects. Alongside my own practice I have initiated and curated several large-scale group print installations with an environmental theme.
